For over two decades, the Basic Services Development Agency (BASEDA) has been empowering communities across Malawi with access to clean water, health services, sustainable livelihoods, and education. Our commitment to practical, community-based solutions drives us to create healthier, self-sustaining environments for all.
WHO ARE WE
Basic Services Development Agency (BASEDA) is a leading Malawian NGO dedicated to strengthening community systems and improving lives through sustainable development. Established in 2004 and registered in 2006, BASEDA has two decades of experience in delivering impactful programs in Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH), sustainable livelihoods, health, agriculture, HIV/AIDS awareness, and climate resilience.
With a presence in 13 districts across Malawi, BASEDA works closely with local communities, training individuals in vital areas such as water pump maintenance, livestock management, and disease control, while promoting inclusive growth through women and youth empowerment. Our approach prioritizes community-based solutions, capacity building, and partnerships with both national and international organizations.
